Network Consultant
Description
Candidates for this role will be expected to have abilities and experience to be able to deliver a variety of services, including but not limited to: planning; design and architecture; setup and installation; 7x24 network management, operations and support; security audits, scanning and hardening; as well as planning and introduction of IPv6 into customer environments.
Responsibilities
· Design and architecture for various network solutions
· Ability to analyze and assess network systems and suggest and deploy solutions to improve performance and functionality
· Provide consulting services as a thought leader as well as a member of a delivery team
· Develop network proposals and diagrams
· Identifying new project opportunities with existing clients
· Be available for 7x24 operations and support, as required
· Build and maintain secure networks
Skills and Experience
· Strong understanding of all core network protocols
· Ability to integrate with Microsoft platform (Win2008, Exchange 2010, SharePoint, SQL 2008, Lync)
· Must be able to deploy and maintain Security, Caching and Load Balancing technologies
· Significant experience working with large and sophisticated corporate networks
· Ability to work with Telephony and VoIP would be an asset

· Excellent communication skills
· Managing concurrent projects and planning transitions between projects
· Negotiating project priorities with customers
· Extensive technological and business knowledge allowing for the ability to sell technologies to customers
· Works well with teams and alone. Enjoys teaching colleagues about networking fundamentals.
Perferred Education and Certification
· Degree in Computer Science
· Microsoft Certifications
· Juniper Certifications
· Cisco Certifications
