Service Desk Specialist

Description

T4G is looking for a Support Desk Specialist to support MaRS in Toronto. The applicant will be based out of the MaRS office at 101 College Street. The most critical function of this role is providing support to our client’s client, server and network infrastructure. This role requires the applicant to work normal business hours, with the possibility of after-hours emergency support.

Responsibilities

  • Provisioning/Installing/Supporting notebooks (Mac and Windows), peripherals, desk, phone, etc.
  • Monitoring and resolving support tickets created by client's employees
  • Dealing with warrantee return issues for hardware
  • Regular Server, and client machine maintenance tasks
  • PBX Monitoring
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of hardware
  • Assist with all meeting, and event presentations
  • 24/7 emergency support when required
  • Infrastructure and application migration/upgrades/install project work

Skills and Experience

  • 1+ year of relevant help desk industry experience
  • Experience with Mac and Windows client computers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite for Mac and Windows
  • Experience with BlackBerry, iPhone and iPad mobile devices
  • Current, relevant Apple and Microsoft certifications would be considered an asset
  • Experience with network hardware and physical setup
  • Great troubleshooting skills, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work as a member of a team
