SITUATION

EthicsCentre CA is an independent registered charitable organization dedicated to promoting ethical culture in Canadian businesses and championing the inclusion of ethical values in the decision-making process. They accomplish this by serving as a forum and catalyst for constructive discussions regarding ethical issues, as well as by publishing relevant articles and speeches.

When EthicsCentre came to T4G requesting a redesign of their website, they wanted more than a new look. They wanted a structural overhaul that would make content more accessible and useable to their audience. To reach more people across Canada, EthicsCentre CA requested an enhanced website that would allow users to interact with each other, operate as a clearinghouse of resources on business ethics, and facilitate communication between users and the Centre. With a revamped website, EthicsCentre CA looked to encourage users to share knowledge and circulate learning in a Canadian context, while increasing awareness of the EthicsCentre CA brand.

SOLUTION

In addition to redesigning EthicsCentre CAs website to be more in line with their brand, T4G also enhanced the site with new and upgraded functionality.

The revamped home page now features upcoming events and the Management Ethics newsletter, as well as highlights membership and registration and invites visitors to participate in online polls. Users can view poll results on topical ethical issues, while site administrators can use the content management system to create and manage the polls in order to gather information on key issues.

As users go through the site, they will benefit from a reorganized resources section containing newsletters, articles, links and speeches arranged into intuitive categories so that users can filter the lists by common ethical issues. The site also offers easy online registration for the newsletter, events, event notification and membership, plus includes an improved keyword search that provides accelerated performance and more usable results.

RESULTS

Along with a new look and functionality for the website, T4G also integrated a content management system that allows EthicsCentre to handle the site administration and content updates themselves. With positive feedback from website users, an appreciative EthicsCentre congratulates T4G on a job well done.
