21Leaders New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, announced

Fredericton, New Brunswick – August 2nd, 2012 – 21inc, in partnership with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, is proud to announce the next cohort of 21Leaders New Brunswick, and, for the first time ever, 21Leaders Nova Scotia

This year’s 21Leaders New Brunswick group includes a comedian, an award-winning ‘geek’, and a world-class wrestler.

This year’s 21Leaders Nova Scotia group includes a vendor of cloth diapers, a ‘webby’ award nominee, and a renowned African dancer.

All have demonstrated a commitment to contribute to their province’s development.

“We are thrilled to have these outstanding individuals join our growing Atlantic Canadian network of emerging talent.” says Alain Parent, President of 21inc. “We were impressed with the calibre of applicants and are grateful to the community for their support in nominating individuals.”

About Shawn Peterson

Shawn, sometimes better known as Saint John Shawn, is an active member of the Saint John community. For the past seven years, Shawn has worked for an innovative IT company, T4G Limited, where he helps deliver complex solutions for a variety of customers. The bulk of his experience has been in the web-self-service and energy sectors. Earlier this year, he was awarded the 2012 title of “top geek” after winning the company’s annual GeekFest event in Toronto. His idea, QTime, involved analyzing hospital emergency room data to provide real time performance analytics to staff and live wait times for patients.

Shawn has served on a number of boards and community groups in recent years, including FUSION Saint John and the Citizens Advisory Committee for PlanSJ. Most recently, he started volunteering as an in-school mentor for the PALS program at St. Pat’s school. In his spare time, Shawn is interested in utilizing technology to create in innovative solutions to “make life easier” for citizens in New Brunswick. One such project, http://propertize.ca, allows New Brunswickers to easily view and compare property tax assessments. Shawn lives happily in Saint John, NB with his wife.
