Microsoft is shaking up the marketplace with its dynamic virtualization and management tools and T4G is glad to be part of it

TORONTO, July 18, 2012 – T4G Limited, an experienced member of the Microsoft Partner Network, has been awarded another gold competency from Microsoft, this time in the rapidly growing area of virtualization.

“Virtualization has been one of the fastest-growing sectors of the IT marketplace and it is also the stepping stone to the Cloud,” says Mark Fraser, T4G’s Executive Vice-President. “And quite frankly, Microsoft’s solutions are changing the landscape, picking up greater market share and we are delighted to align T4G with Microsoft in this exciting new field.”

Virtualization is the creation of a “virtual version” of something, such as a hardware platform, operating system, storage device, or network resources. With the Cloud, more and more enterprises of all sizes, particularly small and medium, are demanding virtualization solutions.

The Microsoft Gold Virtualization and Management Competency is a new, advanced designation available to leading Microsoft partners specialized in virtualization technologies.

Microsoft’s solutions are changing the landscape, picking up greater market share and we are delighted to align T4G with Microsoft in this exciting new field.

“At affordable price points and with an ever-increasing number of virtualization success stories, it’s the right time to strengthen our partnership and align with Microsoft in this area,” says John Ceccarelli, Business Unit Director, Infrastructure & Security, the T4G unit delivering these services.

Adds Mr. Fraser: “This was no easy designation to attain and I am very proud of the T4G team for achieving this; not only for the company but also on behalf of our customers who are increasingly turning to Microsoft for its robust, dependable and customizable solutions.”

Over the past year or so, Microsoft has tightened requirements for attaining gold and silver competencies. (T4G is already gold certified in Business Intelligence, Web Development and Content Management; and silver in Customer Relationship Management.)

For partners to achieve gold level, the company must employ at least four Solutions Architects/Engineers demonstrating technical competency through testing; two sales executives pass exams that demonstrate solution knowledge; and obtain five references from clients for whom the partner has deployed a solution in the competency. Silver requires at least two on the technical side and three customer references.
