CBC Maritimes is a partner sponsor of the Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada luncheon in Halifax next week on May 17. The sixth annual awards are the brainchild of Progress magazine and partner Best Companies Group. CBC News Nova Scotia host Tom Murphy is the emcee for the event, along with co-host Amy Smith, who will present some of the awards.
(Last month T4G was also named for the fifth straight year to the annual Best Workplaces in Canada list, cracking the Top Ten for the second year in a row. In the same survey, T4G was also tabbed the 8th best workplace for women in Canada.)
Companies from across the region entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation.
