This Tuesday, November 16, they are hosting an informative morning session entitled Finding Diamonds in your Data at the Senator Inn at 284 Western Ave. in Augusta, ME, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Speaking will be T4G Principal Consultant Dick Thompson, Maine's former CIO who is credited with overhauling the state's IT infrastructure through innovative and cost-effective solutions, and Tom Harris of IBM Cognos, who is an international expert in government and education business analytics.

"We must begin to think of infrastructure beyond the old definition of buildings, roads and bridges and invest more heavily in digital infrastructure if we want to reduce government costs and empower citizens with better, faster, smarter government services," says Mr. Thompson.

"Digital infrastructure is at least as important, if not more important, than the normal infrastructure we think of. There is a whole class of faster return-on-investment solutions that we need in order to reduce government spending; from customer self-service to accelerating the speed of overall government decision-making," he says.
