It’s time to admit that we’ve been taking energy for granted. Despite being the enabler of modern life as we know it, we treat energy like an invisible, disposable convenience. As we use more and more we’re taxing our power grids and raising the cost of each kilowatt—especially at peak hours. The standard solution, building more power-plants for peak power, is too expensive and fossil fuel dependent as we move forward. We suggest an alternative: intelligently redistribute electricity demand and eliminate excessive and inefficient waste.  

By improving tracking and introducing dynamic pricing, energy producers can help customers better manage their usage while improving system-wide efficiencies.  We’ve found that energy consumers—both companies and individuals—when engaged and given the tools to track, understand, and optimize their usage, drastically reduce their waste and undue burden on the grid.
